The first meeting of Narendranath Ramakrishna Paramahamsa ---

Narendranath Ramakrishna first heard of Paramahamsa while studying at the General Assembly's Institution. Professor William Hasty spoke of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa while teaching William Wordsworth's poem The Excursion in a literature class. Explaining the word 'trance' used in the poem, he told the students that to understand the true meaning of the word 'trance', students have to go to Dakshineswar and see Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Hearing this, some students including Narendranath became interested to see Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

In November 181, F. A. While preparing for the test, Ramchandra Dutt once took Narendranath to Surendranath Mitra's house. There Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was invited to give a sermon. In this interview, Ramakrishna asked Paramahamsa young Narendranath to sing a song.

The song that Narendranath first sang to Sri Sri Ramakrishnadev was so sweet and beautiful that Thakur was overwhelmed. The song is composed by Ayodhyanath Pakrashi ---

 "Let's go to our home.
The family is abroad, in the guise of a foreigner, why the mistake for no reason.

Subject Panchakas and ghosts, after all, no one is yours.
Why are you in love, Magan, you have forgotten yourself.

Ascend to the path of truth, let the light of love shine for a moment.
Keep the wealth with you, secretly very carefully.

In the original path of greed and fascination, robbers, the passer-by destroys everything.
Take utmost care, keep the watchman calm.

Sadhusanga has the name Panthadham, if you are tired, do it and rest.
If he goes astray, he is also a pilgrim.

Yati dekh pathe vairi aakar, pranapane diyo dohai rajara.
On the way, the king's great glory, whose rule is in fear of mitigation.

Let's go to our home. "

Impressed by Narendranath's musical talent, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa invited him to Dakshineswara.

Narendranath is going to Dakshineswar for the first time --- to meet Thakur Sri Ramakrishnadev. This is his second meeting with Thakur. Narendranath came to Dakshineswar in a horse-drawn carriage with two friends and neighbor Surendranath Mitra Mahasaya.

Commenting on the meeting, Sri Ramakrishnadev said, "The day Narendra first entered the house through the west door, I saw that there was no focus on his body, no hair on his head, and no tidiness in his attire. Who has always kept a lot on the inside of the mind? Seeing this, it seems that the abode of the subject person is possible to have such a large base in Calcutta? "

Tagore is not happy to see Narendranath. Even today Thakur asked him to sing.

Narendranath sang two songs to Thakur that day.

The first song was sung by Narendranath ---

 "Let's go to our home.
The family is abroad, in the guise of a foreigner, why the mistake for no reason.
 ..... Let's go to our home. "

 'Where else,' said Thakur.

Narendranath sang again, the song was composed by Becharam Chatterjee ---

 "What can I do?
I am Nath Divanishi looking for hope.

You are Tribhuvan Nath, I am a beggar orphan.
How can I say to you, O mother of the heart?

 Heart-cottage-door, open to bringing.
Please come and join me once. "

Hearing the song, Before Tagore suddenly jumped up, grabbed Narendranath's hand, and dragged him to the north verandah room. The outer door is closed. The two sat face to face.

Thakur's eyes are flooded with tears, he is crying and saying, "Don't you have Maya kindness? Where have you been all this time? Day after day, month after month, year after year I am looking for your way. How did you forget me?"
"At midnight that day you, Eli, came to my room and woke me up. I said I have come ..."

Narendranath was shocked to hear Thakur's words.

This meeting is a very important event in Narendranath's life. Narendranath said in the interview, "He [Ramakrishna] felt like an ordinary man, I did not see anything extraordinary. He was speaking in a very simple language, I thought, can this person be a great clergyman? I have asked others all my life. I approached him and asked him the same question,

'Sir, do you believe in God?'

 He replied --- 'Yes.'

'Sir, can you prove his existence?'

 'Yes'.

 'What proof?'

'I see you just as I see you in front of me, but I see you more clearly, brighter.'

 I'm fascinated. "
